Created in 2015.

Back Hawaii in the early 80's The Kealoha uncles would race Hobie Cats, they tossed parties "pop ups" to cover their particular supplies. They'd go directly to the beach and put a party, turn on the grill, ice down the alcohol, to get a band to relax and play. They'd charge a modest price using the intention which will make sufficient money to enable them to do whatever they adored. They discovered they required a name for their 'organization' while the brothers which lived on Liholiho street made a decision to identify it Liholiho Yacht Club. This is how the current day LYC was born. We loved title and concept: to throw a celebration to help you to hold doing what you love. Grind - Talk Story - Get Jag

Meet with the Company Owner

Cook Ravi was born and raised on Oahu in Hawaii. He relocated to san francisco bay area in 1998 to wait The California Culinary Academy. He's worked in several kitchen areas round the Bay Area and beyond including an 8 year stint at Boulevard working closely with Chef Nancy Oakes where he continued to open up Prospect whilst the executive chef. He left restaurants all together last year after their boy Makoa was created. The pop-up: "Liholiho Yacht Club" was born in 2012 as a way generate tasty heritage driven meals while nevertheless promoting their household and working towards his lifelong desire having their own restaurant.

In 2014 Ravi joined forces with Jeff Hanak, an owner of Nopa and Nopalito and few years friend. Hanak is a native to SF and brings an excellent and neighborhood basis on LYC staff.

Together they strives to generate a comfortable environment well balanced and enjoyable. Emphasizing Kapur's history driven meals and Jeff's keen attention to hospitality.
