What knowledge or skills do i have to bareboat charter?
Official certification just isn't mandatory to hire a ship in NZ but we do need a reasonable degree of experience in how big is vessel you are planning to charter, ideally (but not always) as skipper. You'll want some cruising experience. We can not charter a yacht to somebody with just a power ship back ground. You must have an acceptable understanding of reefing and anchoring.
During scheduling we allow you to complete a resume type therefore we accept (or drop) the charter on the basis of the information you offer.
Generally, if you were to think that you have the knowledge is skipper, then we probably will too!

How can I make it?
Our company is situated in the village of Opua, about 3.5 hours drive from Auckland town and 4 from Auckland airport. The neighborhood airport reaches Kerikeri. There is a twice day-to-day bus service from Auckland, but a hire vehicle is often the many cost-effective way to get here if there are many more than three inside team. Check-out our
